NETWORK HEALTH Placeholder

Services Offered:
- Ping Services
- RouteWatch

The network is the foundation of any Internet presence. Good network performance is essential for all services to perform adequately.

GNW offers innovative tools to measure and track network health, focusing on the areas of:
- Routing
- Latency
- Throughput

GNW collects data about each of these areas through carefully planned ICMP ping and ICMP route detection.

With variable ping services, GNW designs monitoring strategies that pinpoint network outages leading up to and inside your data center. Variable ping strategies, in conjunction with TCP/IP testing, establish network segment latency and throughput. This information is then used to develop an accurate picture of performance bottlenecks.

GNW further offers the RouteWatch service, which detects the current routes to your infrastructure every 15 minutes. This route information is saved, and then becomes useful in examining the effects that certain routes have on service performance. Routing changes often affect greatly the performance of web services. Now, for the first time, route information can be tracked and saved, and the effects of routing changes on service performance can be analyzed.

Network metrics become particularly meaningful when compared with applications metrics, such as web performance. This data can then be used to analyze the impact of network latency and throughput on web services.
Furthermore, web operators can, for the first time, determine that data flowing through certain paths is experiencing a performance penalty.

Web operators, for example, can detect that data flowing through core Company X routers in Chicago experiences a performance penalty when compared to metrics collected through other routes.
